Imagine Dragons go for the gold with their new music video for "Next to Me." The video is actually an 11-minute movie with mesmorizing, cinematic visuals. Watch the clip below.
The music video, directed by Mark Pellington, stars lead vocalist Dan Reynolds as Reynold, an imprisoned man on death row. His wife, Aja Volkman, actually plays his wife in the movie, and the other members of Imagine Dragons also appear at points during the video.
"I wrote this song about the strains of the relationships in my own life and the beauty of enduring love," Reynolds said in a statement. "After late night conversations with Mark Pellington about life and his passion behind his vision for the film, we knew we wanted to take the journey with him."
"Next to Me" dropped last month and is heading up the alternative charts. The band's other recent single off "Evolve," "Whatever It Takes," recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Of course, the other hits off "Evolve" include "Believer" and "Thunder," which also hit No. 1 on the chart. These guys know how to write a chart-topper! XO
